LSKB: Superior System Operation, Management, and Cost Effectiveness

Runs on small-scale PC, not requiring a server configuration for low-level use

Despite containing over 60 million compound structures and related annotations, data created from gene and protein dictionaries and subsequent annotations, disease dictionaries, and more than 20 other data sources, the results of broad-spectrum PubMed searches based on the above dictionary data, and a database containing literature co-occurrence data, LSKB can be operated on a local standard PC server.
If usage is limited to a small number of users, LSKB can be configured easily as an in-house database search system, eliminating the need for an IT specialist to manage server configuration.

High-level database configuration cost performance

LSKB, which is updated three times every year, can significantly reduce costs related to the gathering of public database information and the internal development of a search system. In particular, LSKB demonstrates significantly better cost performance when constructing cumbersome compound structures and annotation databases.

System integration and link with internal corporate databases

To achieve system integration, we have published an Oracle-based database scheme, prepared a Java API, and host the various environments required for web-based integrated operation. This integration helps research organizations realize a significant increase in work efficiency.
The LSKB GateWay provides multiple methods of linking from an internal system to an LSKB hosted on an intranet. It is possible to add original annotations to the annotation database and to merge with an in-house compound database, a level of integration that allows for centralized management of databases.

Powerful security for in-house systems

The keyword, ID, and structural searches are completely internalized and because rules regarding information linked to the internet have been outlined, easily creating a highly secure search system.
